Three Days Grace spilled the beans on their social media mystery yesterday, announcing the comeback of Adam Gontier to the fold, but with a twist—he’ll share vocal duties with Matt Walst.
The band confirmed Gontier’s role in crafting new tunes, after hints of his studio sessions surfaced.

“After jamming in Nashville last year and studio time together, we’re thrilled Adam Gontier is back on vocals, with Matt Walst also rocking lead,” their statement read. “Stay tuned for more on new music and tour dates!”
Gontier commented, “It felt effortless, like we never left. Just picked up right where we stopped, thanks to our long-time friendship.”
Walst chimed in, “Making this album has been a blast and unique. We’re doing something unprecedented, and I can’t wait for fans to hear it!”
Three Days Grace, after three successful albums, released ‘Transit of Venus’ in 2012. However, Gontier announced his departure in early 2013, right before a tour with Shinedown. Matt Walst, brother of bassist Brad Walst, stepped in, leading the band through three more albums—’Human,’ ‘Outsider,’ and ‘Explosions.’
