It’s hard to believe it has already been a year since the tragic passing of the iconic Chris Cornell. The news saddened and baffled the entire music community. There was service held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Friday May 18th which had fans come from all parts of the globe to pay their respects. We have footage posted below shared by a fan who attended.
In addition, previous musicians that had performed with Chris Cornell in the past posted stories, tributes, and photos on various social media platforms. Tom Morello from Audioslave, Rage against the Machine, and Prophets of Rage said, “”His light was beautiful. His darkness unnamable. His voice eternal. Love you & miss you so much, my friend.”
Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, and Soundgarden said, “Can’t believe it’s already been one year since I lost my musical soulmate and special friend. Chris always led by example — his worth ethic, his sense of humor, his love of animals, his love of the Cascades, his love of family. I will forever praise him for the decades of encouragement he gave me and for the fierce friendship we forged. I love you buddy.”
