Pearl Jam Cancel Raleigh, NC Show in Protest of HB2 Law

Pearl Jam have canceled their Wednesday night concert in Raleigh to protest the  recently passed HB2, also known as the “bathroom bill.” In a handwritten statement which looked to be written by Eddie Vedder, the band told fans, “It is with deep consideration and much regret that we must cancel the Raleigh show in North Carolina on April 20th. This will be upsetting to those who have tickets and you can be assured that we are equally frustrated by the situation.”

The tour will continue tonight in Hampton and all of the other dates listed on the tour but it looks like this is one date that will not be rescheduled.

There’s been plenty of backlash from fans who are out of a plane ticket, hotel, time off from work traveling as far as Seattle and Germany for the NC gig.
