It’s been quiet on the Foo Fighters front, but there’s been an update on what 2017 may bring for Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters. They were just confirmed to headline the Bottle Rock festival in May 2017.
Latitude 38 Entertainment CEO Dave Graham said, ” The Foo Fighters are in the studio all next year recording a new album and Bottle Rock may be their only show in 2017 in North America.” While this isn’t official from the Foos, it appears that they will begin work to their follow up of Sonic Highways.
Drummer Taylor Hawkins offered an insight back in November when he told NME, “We’re fine, we love each other we’re all good. We’re just figuring out when the world’s ready for more Foo Fighters, we’re a family. We will make a new record at some point. We won’t really be ready until Dave’s ready to go. It’s on the books, so we’ll definitely be playing. We never really know, we just wait for a text from Dave saying, ‘Hey, let’s go down to the studio.’”
So if you want to get your Foo Fighters fix for 2017 – plan on heading to the Napa Valley area in May to catch them – it might be your only opportunity.
