Biffy Clyro is a rock trio comprised of lead singer Simon Neil, and brothers Ben & James Johnston. They hail from Scotland, where their fame is not only massive there, but throughout most of Europe. In fact, they’ve headlined massive festivals such as the Reading Festival and T In the Park with over 35,000 fans. They just finished a tour with multiple sell out shows including Dublin’s 3Arena.
But tonight in Nashville – things were different. The stadium rockers have decided to do a stint in the States where the crowds are much smaller and the clubs more intimate. This, however, does not stop the band from performing a blistering set of melodic, proggy, rock n’ roll with the same intensity as a stadium. Fans from all over the world, yes world, were at the show including a couple from London, fans from Hawaii, and other neighboring states of Tennessee filled the room to the 500 person capacity.
The band started their headlining set with the new single from the record “Ellipsis” called Wolves of Winter and continued the hits and deep cuts. Biffy Clyro has close to a dozen albums of studio material, B sides, and live albums that they mixed into the setlist. This proved to be a hit with the crowd singing along throughout the evening.
