Moffitt Cancer Center, in partnership with Rock Brothers Brewing Company in Ybor City, will host Moffitt Rocks Tampa Bay, a benefit concert featuring the band 311.
Multiplatinum rock band 311 will perform Nov. 4 at the historic Cuban Club in Ybor City, with special guest openers Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and The Supervillains. All proceeds from the concert will benefit lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt.
311 always delivers a dynamic and celebratory live show – mixing rock, reggae, hip-hop and funk – and recently released their new album Mosaic, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. Concert doors open at 5:30 p.m.; 311 will perform at 9:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $47.50 and will be available starting Friday, Sept. 1. VIP tickets are $90 and include a reserved stage-front viewing area with a private bar, private indoor restrooms and an official commemorative concert poster.
311 is proud to perform to raise awareness of cancer. “This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart as my mom is a cancer survivor,” says 311 frontman Nick Hexum. “Cancer has had a profound effect on so many lives, and 311 is honored to headline Moffitt Rocks Tampa Bay. Thanks to the help of organizations like Moffitt, we can rally together and beat this disease. We hope you will join us for a great night of music – and all for a really great cause.”
The night before the benefit concert, 311 will unveil their new Rock Brothers Limited Release “Beautiful Disaster” craft beer at Rock Brothers Brewing Company, 1901 N. 15th St. The beer will be bottled in limited quantity and will be available on draft in the tasting room Nov. 3 and by the bottle Nov. 4.
